Well, since I didn’t want to restart my computer (I had lots of applications already running), I thought why not restarting the service? As an avid computer user (I’m not really a geek, but sitting in front of computer is a daily basis for me), it taught me that most of the times the simplest yet the most powerful solution for a computer problem is RESTARTING. However, the status of that service was already Started. It sounds similar, doesn’t it? So I guessed that service was the service I was looking for. I found a service named “Apple Mobile Device” instead. I went to Services (Start Menu ->Run type services.msc then press OK) but I couldn’t find any services named “Mobile Device Driver” as mentioned in that article. Looks like the writer had the same problem as mine, so I tried Method 1: Fixing Mobile Device Driver Service. With a little googling, I found this article (the title of the page started with “”, so inviting right?). Then I unplugged Milou and re-plugged it again.

It’s weird because iTunes detected Milou (I enable the “Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected” option) and started to sync it. I tried to refresh My Computer a couple of times but nothing happened. So far, it’s enough for my work load, I don’t see upgrading OS is a necessity.Īnyway, so today I plugged Milou into my computer and found that Milou folder didn’t show up under My Computer. Well, the only computer I own right now is a laptop I got from my employer with Windows XP pre-installed on it. And you’re right, I’m such a late adapter in OS world that I’m still on Windows XP where everyone else is already on Window 8 or at least Windows 7 (I’m not even on Vista!). Yes, that’s because I name my iPhone Milou. If you look at the picture above, it’s the “Milou” folder I am talking about.
